Eclipse 3.2 & Callisto Now Available for Download
Callisto, the Eclipse simultaneous release of Eclipse 3.2 final as well as 10 sub projects became available for download this afternoon. The goal of the simultaneous release is to eliminate uncertainity about project version numbers, and cross-project compatibility. The milestone also coordinates and organizes the different development groups together.

Because any Maven 1.x plugin exists for this task and because I did not find a complete well written code on the Net, I wrote my own little goal. This code will precompile *.jrxml Jasper Report files to *.jasper files.
In my case, the *.jasper files are to be packaged in a war. So the goal is called as a war:webapp preGoal. The goal simply use the Ant task (visit this link for more options).

A big step was made by Sun recently, they finally decide to open source Java. The decision was announced during the JavaOne conference.
